Data heroes of COVID tracking project are still filling U.S. government void
How a volunteer group became the most trustworthy source on how the pandemic is unfolding in the US. In a time where critical information about the pandemic was scarce in the US, the COVID Tracking Project — a volunteer-run initiative — stepped up and began offering, in a very accessible way, almost real-time data on how the coronavirus pandemic was developing in the country.
