Generational thinking is very popular and we see it manifesting itself all around us – with the older generation talking of “the good old days” and the millenials fuming against the archaic attitudes of the older generations. But Rebecca Onion writes in Aeon Magazine that while generational thinking may be seductive and may confirm preconceived prejudices, it is a bogus, useless and plain wrong way to understand the world.
