The case against crisis-mongering
Are we being torn apart by a hysteria of mutual accusations against each other? This instalment of Slow Boring argues that there is a false and unsubstantiated notion that we are living through some acute “global social, political, and economic crises.” And argues that this approach is harmful. Here, Matthew Yglesias argues that crisis mongering is not a crisis over liberalism, as the problems facing us at present are not necessarily much more complex or serious than previous issues that the idea itself has sorted.
