Millions of us were living with this curse before the pandemic. How can we break it? Feeling lonely during lockdown? You are not alone — a 2018 study by the Kaiser Family Foundation found that more than a fifth of US and UK adults, and 9% of Japanese adults, said they always or often felt lonely, highlighting how the issue proceeds the pandemic and as experts advice, it can contribute to a myriad of negative effects on our wellbeing. For Claire Bushey, things are far beyond the complexity of just numbers.
