Inequality is a threat to our democracies
With the new UK cabinet, inequality will undoubtedly rise - but we must be willing to offset it. Since the year 1980, income inequality has been on the rise across the globe, especially in North America, Asia and Europe. We revisit Martin Wolf's 2017 article in The Financial Times, where he examines this phenomenon and warns that such inequality could well be a threat to our democracies.
