Subscription

How do I cancel my subscription?

If you purchased your subscription from our website:

  1. Log in to your account on your desktop or mobile browser (not the Curio app)
  2. Select account in the top navigation
  3. Under “My subscription” select “Cancel”
  4. Follow the prompts to cancel your subscription

If you purchased your subscription via iTunes:

  1. Open the Settings app
  2. Scroll down to “iTunes and App Store”
  3. Tap Your Apple ID Email
  4. Select “View Apple ID” (You may be asked to log in)
  5. Tap “Subscriptions”
  6. Select the Curio subscription
  7. Tap “Cancel Subscription” to disable it from auto-renewing at the end of the current billing cycle

If you purchased your subscription via Google Play:

  1. Open the Google Play Store
  2. Tap Menu (3 small horizontal lines) and then Subscriptions
  3. Tap the subscription you want to cancel
  4. Tap Cancel subscription
  5. Follow the onscreen instructions

If you get stuck or can't remember how you purchased your current subscription, contact us on listen@curio.io.

How can I turn off the auto-renew feature for my subscription?

If you purchased your subscription via iTunes:

  1. Open the Settings app

Will my subscription automatically renew?

Yes, our Monthly or Yearly subscriptions renew automatically to avoid interrupting your Curio journey.

If you want to cancel your subscription, please log into your account and cancel under “My subscription”.

Monthly subscriptions automatically renew on the same day each month (the day you subscribed), unless canceled. You must do this at least 24 hours before the end of your current subscription period for the change to take effect.

Yearly subscriptions automatically renew after 7 days unless you cancel this trial 24 hrs before it expires.

You can change this by turning off auto renewal in your iTunes or Google Play settings. You must do this at least 24 hours before the end of your current subscription period for the change to take effect. To learn more, check out Terms of Use, and our Privacy Policy.

How can I view my subscription details?

    To review your subscription details on the Curio app follow these steps:

  1. With your Curio app open, tap on “Settings”
  2. On the Settings Page, tap on “My subscription”
  3. From there you will be able to view your current subscription details

    If you're on a computer, you can view your subscription by following these steps:

  1. Log into your account from the desktop site or mobile browser
  2. Select “account” in the top navigation bar or under menu (3 small horizontal lines) and then click “Account”
  3. Scroll down to view the details of your subscription and payment info

I have subscribed, but I can’t see my subscription?

If you subscribed on through the Curio app, go to your settings and press “Restore Purchase”. If this doesn't work or if you subscribed on your computer, please contact us on listen@curio.io..

Billing

What payment methods do you accept?

We currently accept the following payment methods to purchase your Curio subscription:

  1. Visa
  2. Mastercard
  3. American Express (US only)

Unfortunately, we are unable to accept payment from the following: pre-paid credit cards, iTunes gift cards, Google Play gift cards, PayPal credit.

When purchasing through Google Play or iTunes, pricing and the options for payment methods may differ. Please feel free to reach out to them for more information.

I accidentally purchased an annual subscription in the app. How do I get a refund?

We apologise for the inconvenience with the accidental purchase.

Fortunately, you have a 7-day trial window to cancel within. If the 7 days have already expired and you have been billed you will need to contact iTunes.

Since iTunes has a separate system for billing information, we ask that you visit the iTunes customer care department for more information as to your account status and to arrange a refund: https://support.apple.com/contact or by calling their support number in your region.

Once you have cancelled and received the refund through iTunes, if you would like a different type of subscription please send an email to listen@curio.io and we can get you set up.

I purchased my subscription via Google Play and I want a refund. What can I do?

If you purchased your Curio subscription through the mobile app via Google Play, you will need to contact us in order to get a refund.

Please email our team directly with a copy of your receipt at listen@curio.io.

I purchased my subscription via iTunes and I want a refund. What can I do?

If you purchased your Curio subscription through the mobile app via iTunes, you will need to contact them in order to get a refund.

Please contact Apple iTunes customer support directly at https://support.apple.com/contact.

How can I update my credit card details online?

If you wish to view or change your payment method, you can do so from our website by simply logging into your account and click on “manage” under payment section on top right.

Our billing system will attempt to charge the credit card on file if your subscription is set to automatically renew. If there are any issues that prevent auto-renewal from occurring, we will send you an email to inform you. Our system will make four attempts to renew your subscription. If all four attempts fail, we will let you know via email.

By the way, your credit card issuer may allow us to charge your credit card even if it has expired. If you prefer to opt out of this credit card auto-update feature offered by your credit card issuer, please reach out to your financial institution to opt out.

Account Settings

How do I delete my account?

If you would like to delete your Curio account please visit https://curio.io/account/delete/me and, once you have logged in, click on “Please delete now”. That will delete your account and all your personal data from our servers.

Please make sure you don’t have a subscription with us as deleting will not stop your payments from being deducted.

Deleting your Curio account is permanent. If you do wish to return to Curio in the future (and, we hope you do), you will need to create a new account.

How can I update the password on my account?

To update your password, log into your account and click on “manage” under the password section. Then follow the instructions.

Yes. You can get started with Curio with 10 free trial stories. The free Curio trial will not expire after a certain amount of time. To unlock additional content outside of the free trial, subscribe by going to subscription.
